Client accounts for letting agents

RentFig is opening its property management platform to a small number of letting agencies in England. Client money handled properly: a ledger per landlord, numbered statements, and the reconciliation your scheme expects.

Built around the money

Most agency software started as a sales CRM and bolted accounts on later. RentFig started as double-entry accounting for landlords, so client money is a ledger, not a spreadsheet next to one.

A ledger for every landlord

Rent lands in your client account and is credited to the right landlord the moment it is matched. Fees, contractor invoices and payouts post against the same ledger, so the balance you owe each landlord is always one number.

Statements that foot to the penny

Numbered, immutable landlord statements: balance brought forward, rent received, fees with VAT, invoices paid, amount paid to the landlord, balance carried forward. Emailed on your letterhead.

Three-way reconciliation

Client bank balance, cash book and the sum of landlord ledgers, agreed at a date and signed off. The report your CMP scheme's accountant asks to see.

Everything landlords already get

Properties, tenancies, deposits, compliance renewals, rent chasing, maintenance, documents and e-signing, per landlord, with staff scoped to the landlords they look after.

How onboarding works

There is no sign-up button for agencies on purpose. Client money is regulated, and we would rather set each agency up properly than let anyone switch it on.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your agency

Two minutes on the form below. Units under management, the software you use, your CMP scheme.

  2. 2

    We talk

A call to understand how you run client money today and whether RentFig fits. If it does not, we say so.

  3. 3

    We set you up

Your account lives on agents.rentfig.co.uk, separate from the landlord product. We invite you, you set a password, and client accounts are switched on for you.

You must belong to a government-approved Client Money Protection scheme to hold client money in England. RentFig will not switch client accounts on without your scheme and membership number on file.

Tell us about your agency

We are onboarding a handful of agencies at a time and reply to every enquiry.

We reply by email. No account is created until we have spoken.
