Get tenancy agreements signed from anywhere.
Send a tenancy agreement, guarantor deed, check-in report or any PDF for e-signature straight from RentFig. Tenants and guarantors sign on their phone with no account, signers go in the order you choose, reminders go out before the link expires, and the signed copy is filed against the tenancy. One envelope uses one credit, however many people sign.
Starter includes 1 envelope a month, Standard 5, Business 25 · extra envelopes £2.50 per 10, never expire
How it works
Step 1: Pick the document
A tenancy agreement from the setup wizard, a guarantor deed, a check-in or check-out report, or any PDF you upload.
Step 2: Add signers and fields
Up to 10 people — signers, approvers or copy-only observers — then drag signature, initials, date and text fields onto the pages.
Step 3: Send
One at a time in order, or everyone at once. Each signer gets an email with their own private link; no account needed.
Step 4: Filed when done
When everyone has signed you get an email, the signed PDF and completion certificate, and a copy saved to the tenancy.
Built for lettings, not just signing
Tenancy agreements from the wizard
The Tenancy Setup Wizard drafts the agreement from your tenancy details and sends it for signing in the same flow.
Guarantor deeds with a witness
A Deed of Guarantee is signed in order: the guarantor, then a witness who must be physically present and confirms it, then you.
Check-in reports signed off
Send an inventory report to every joint tenant at once for sign-off — or comments and disputes — on their phone.
Your branding, not ours
When the document is linked to a tenancy, signers see your portfolio's name — and logo, if you've added one — on the signing page and in the invitation.
Reminders and nudges
Automatic email reminders before the link expires, on a schedule you choose, plus a resend or a copy of the signer's private link when you need it.
Status at a glance
See who has viewed, signed or declined, spot bounced emails, and cancel or refresh a request while it's out for signature.
Consent recorded
Before signing, each signer agrees to sign electronically; RentFig records when they agreed, from which IP address and browser.
Credits that don't expire
Your monthly envelopes are used first; extra envelopes bought in packs of 10 never expire, with discounts on bigger packs, and a failed send is refunded automatically.
Quick sign for your own signature
Need only your own signature on a letter? Stamp your saved signature onto a PDF in the browser, without using a credit.
What it doesn't do
- Signing links last 7 days; if one expires, sending a new request uses another envelope.
- Signers need an email address — there's no text-message-only signing.
- There are no identity checks on signers, and no advanced or qualified electronic signatures.
- Only PDFs can be sent for signing, one envelope at a time (no bulk sending).
- E-signatures aren't on the Free plan.
Frequently asked questions
Are e-signatures valid for a tenancy agreement?
In England and Wales, an electronic signature can generally be used to sign a tenancy agreement, and electronic signatures are admissible in evidence under the Electronic Communications Act 2000. Deeds, such as a Deed of Guarantee, also need a witness who is physically present when the guarantor signs — RentFig adds the witness as a signer in the order guarantor, witness, landlord. A lease of more than 3 years must be made by deed. If a document is unusual or high-stakes, take legal advice.
Do tenants need a RentFig account to sign?
No. Each signer gets an email with a private link and signs on their phone or computer — no account or password.
How much do e-signatures cost?
One envelope uses one credit, however many signers or pages it has. Starter includes 1 envelope a month, Standard 5 and Business 25; extra envelopes are £2.50 for 10 and never expire. E-signatures aren't available on the Free plan.
What happens after everyone signs?
You get an email, can download the signed PDF and the signing provider's completion certificate, and the signed copy is saved to the tenancy, the property and the matching contacts.
Who provides the signing?
Signing runs on Firma.dev, embedded in a RentFig page that shows your portfolio's branding.
